Judged By My Cover

I believe health is internal.

Had I not fallen one day riding BMX and had hit my head, I’d be dead.

That crash led to a life-saving MRI that accidentally found a massive brain tumor.

This diagnosis cleared up the past year of suffering that brought a long lost of pain medication with it while being denied the request to scan my brain as I felt something was terribly “off”. Each request and visit to the doctors office resulted in being denied a scan, even though I had health insurance I paid for, while also being told I just and headaches.

They went on to say “it’s normal to have headaches today so here’s some pain medication, come back if you need more” along with “you’re young, in shape and your blood work doesn’t show anything abnormal.” I could have died from being judged by my books covers and that’s part of why I’m so passionate about medical imaging and being an advocate for all those that don’t feel like they’re being heard or have a voice.

I believed I was “just a civilian” and didn’t have any business challenging a doctor. Now, I challenge everything in my life before accepting it into my mind.

I was afraid and don’t want others to be, so I share my TRUTH loud and proud to be an excuse for others to do the same.

Our voices are all worth being listened to and it’s apart of my mission to make that clear.

Pursuing BETTER

No words will do this feeling justice beyond euphoria and gratitude.

I’ve never felt the same emotions since competing other than before, during, and after I step on stage to share my TRUTH with 1,000’s of people.

The energy from a Prüvit event, the love and support from this amazing community, and the atmosphere of the Louisville Palace is incredible.

I’ve only been speaking for about a year now and to have spoken in front of such an amazing audience in a historical and iconic theater blows my mind and I’m incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity to speak in such a venue to such a crowd.

As I stepped on stage and looked at all the amazing humans challenging BETTER for our society, I felt at home. As I looked up into the second level balcony, I took a breath and allowed all the love and gratitude in as I felt more belief in my purpose to empower people to be BETTER and realize their potential in life as soon as they choose to step into it.

I couldn’t be more grateful for Brian Underwood (Prüvit CEO) trusting me to share with his community and to have the opportunity to experience such an amazing time with Brian Guilmette Prüvit and PrüvitNation.

Thank you all for the love Prüvit, thank you to those who’ve ever given me fuel by saying I couldn’t be successful or that I wasn’t good enough, and thank you for whoever read this all the way through.

My top HACK for BETTER in my life is to become as conscious as possible in such a way that we can audit our personality (our thoughts, actions, and emotions) to see how aligned we are with our desires….and drink Prüvit exogenous ketones!

Hacking BETTER

Excited to speak at the “Louisville Palace” theater for “HACKING BETTER” hosted by Prüvit.

I’m excited to share my gratitude for such an amazing and supportive community challenging the current status of brain health and optimization.

To me, Hacking Better simply means to optimize. But, in order to optimize, we must become conscious of the way we think, act and feel. This trio is a set of behavior patterns known as our personality, which is what creates our personal REALITY.

I will be speaking about this sense of consciousness a bit more, as it’s what I’m super passionate about today, and how it’s shown up in various ways to help me in my life along with a ketogenic lifestyle.

After overcoming 3 brain tumor diagnosis, and living with 4 tumors in my skull today, I’m become very aware of my life and how I show up.

The more I audit who I am and how my personality influences my alignment with my life vision, the more clarity and abundance I find.

I can’t help but share all that helps me with others as I want everyone to be as healthy, happy and successful as possible.

I suffered for a while on my journey to empowering myself as a byproduct of having to react to my life being threatened. I don’t believe it takes such an experience to shift our perspective and that’s why I share my story.

I believe we can work SMARTER and be PROACTIVE rather than wait for a wake up call like I experienced to be initiated to be on PURPOSE and optimize my life reality.

13 to 30 years old…

Who I was when I was 13 has transformed profoundly to who I am today at 30 years old.

Even from the photo on the left as a 27 year old adult, things have dramatically shifted in these past 3 years.

I started out with a dream to become a professional BMX athlete one day and to ride with the professionals I looked up to.

I was fortunate enough to manifest that dream into my reality and much more than I ever fathomed being possible.

Along the way, though, we’re many obstacles I never imagined I’d face, let alone have to overcome in order to preserve my life.

I was 20 years old when I was given an accidental death sentence of a massive brain tumor (1st of 3) after appearing on an MRI for a concussion I had endured.

I had just made a name for myself globally from competing professionally and traveling internationally to compete and film videos for 3 years at this point, and I was friends with my childhood hero, Dave Mirra.

The life I dreamed of and sacrificed so much for had come true, yet was about to be taken from me.

This is what led me to auditing everything I knew about myself, about life, and how I was living my life.

It’s what led me to become passionate about keto, fitness, and mindset as well as educating others to ways they can create the same empowerment in their lives.

I started this journey on self to become a professional Bmx athlete and it’s led me to shifting my life vision and efforts on purpose to serve others around the world.

It started with a dream filled with passion and hard work and thanks to some major adversities, it’s transpired to a higher purpose filled with even more passion and effort.

I never would be in the space I am today had I not followed my dream and dismissed all those who doubted me.

Fear is Just a Thought Movement

Shout out to @hunterisaacson1 for supporting the “fear is just a thought” movement.

It’s amazing to me that 3 other people around the world have been influenced to follow suite by my decision to tattoo a phrase I’ve learned to live my life by on my arms.

Our personal realities are made up of our personalities- what thoughts we choose to give energy to, the actions we take, and the emotions we choose to feel (more so how long we choose to feel these emotions for). Fear is one of, if not, THE biggest factor in why we do things one way or another.

When we allow fear to control our personalities and state of being, we act in manners that are not aligned with our desires, ultimately creating a personal reality that we may not enjoy.

On the flip side, when we choose to use fear as a tool to learn and guide us, the possibilities of acting in a manner to overcome said fear can lead to endless possibilities for our lives.

It all comes down to the personality we choose to create and move forward with.

The first step is becoming conscious of our thoughts, actions and emotions.

The second step is auditing whether or not they are aligned with what we desire.

The third step is to create new thoughts that allow for new emotions and actions, ultimately leading to new possibilities and a new reality closer to what we truly want.

I appreciate you @hunterisaacson1 for the love and support, and dedication to being the programmer of your life rather than living in the program our external world often dictates for so many of us in today’s society.

Is Keto hard or is it hard to break your food addictions?

I cringe when people say “keto is hard” or “I can’t follow keto because____”.

It’s not hard and anyone who wants to create the best version of themselves can apply the fundamentals of a ketogenic diet if I and countless others who travel, are busy, or had past food/sugar addictions can.

If someone’s willing to change their mindset and stop making excuses to hide behind, any type of change is possible.

It’s not that “keto is hard”, the reality is that the person saying this may have food/sugar addictions they’re not addressing, isn’t educated on the topic, or is being held back from emotions of fear.

This was the case for me when addressing my lifestyle and really beginning to audit my choices.

Then a brain tumor almost killed me in 2010 but thankfully I experienced this because that’s what got me to get over my excuses and fight/change for my life.

It was that emotion of fear for my life tied to that experience that led me on the path I’m on today and has helped me stay persistent and consistent while dropping the excuses to play small.

My biggest struggle with my life purpose today is helping others overcome their past selves and their excuses.

Not everyone has a wake up call as I had to fuel their fire of change.

That’s why a WHY or a purpose is so critical for all of us. Vanity purposes, in my opinion, are not complete. There’s always a deeper rooted motive to look good and it comes down to our past and the emotional baggage that we’ve brought into our adults years.

Creating a future version of ourself, mentally and physically, I find leads others to change for their better when becoming conscious to this level of thinking.

It’s not guaranteed that tomorrow will come, yet so many of us believe it will. I was one of those thinkers before I learned the hard way.

It’s my mission to get people proactive about their future to be as healthy, happy and successful as possible.

Are you being defined by your vision for the future or the past experiences you’ve had?

Action > Planning

I share how I had no plan, just a strong desire for the life I wanted.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B2-MIPCgFM0/?igshid=zyuu8pbme5sp

I made up my plan as I went rather than being held back thinking all I need is the perfect plan like many of us do.

I’ve found that’s just fear disguised as needing to know more or have the perfect plan when in reality, we just have to take action.

No plan as perfect as we could make it willow ver trump action.

A plan without action is like education without applying the knowledge. It’s useless.

This choice of walking away from BMX competition after a decade led me to forming personal and working relationships with @createdbybrian @ryanplowery @brianundy @isaacstegman and @justpruvit who are encouraging and supportive of my quest of pursing better as I strive to serve the masses.

I’m thankful for all the adversity I’ve been through because it’s shown me my purpose and led me to amazing people and places.

I often hear “you’re so lucky” or “that’s gotta be the worst thing to ever happen to you” (in regards to the brain tumors) but all that is is others perspectives.

My perspective is shit could be worse and I’m grateful to be alive and have the ability to pursue my dreams.

Not a single day is guaranteed. Nothing is guaranteed so you may as well take a chance on what you love rather than hide behind fear with excuses for why it’s not possible for you.

The only thing between people that are “successfully” and those that aren’t is a mindset of performance and a belief in possibilities.

Believe in yourself and take action!

Josh P. 💚🧠✌️

Action > Plans

Too many people procrastinate or never try because they’re hiding behind fear.

I’ve talked to so many people around the world that aren’t living the life they want because they think they’re not good enough, not smart enough, or don’t deserve what they desire because of some bullshit someone told them in their past.

All the success I’ve experienced cake from action, not learning.

Learning as I went helped me navigate the path and make corrections as I saw fit but it was the action that got me to where I am today and continue to grow.

Stop waiting for the perfect time or plan. Just make moves and adjust as you take in information along the way.

The Unknown

Because that’s where the magic happens.

Nothing new and exciting came from being comfortable.

That’s not to say you don’t enjoy your life and all you do. I’m talking about stepping out of your comfort zone to create new realities that only exist once you change your internal and external being.

Many of us stay stagnant in life because of fear disguised as practicality to stay where we’re comfortable, yet not fully desirable.

This was my life not too long ago as I left all that I knew and brought comfort my way as I stepped into the unknown with nothing more than a burning passion and desire for a future I knew existed once I believed in myself, took action, and manifested that future into my reality.

I’m scared of comfort because that means I’m not growing or progressing.

Be honest with yourself.

Are you comfortable hiding behind fear? Or, are you chasing uncomfortable situations with the belief that the unknown is where your true desires reside?

Do You REALLY Want To Win?

Who’s guilty of being salty and jealous of others wins and successes?

This is a subconscious fear of “lack” in our lives when we think this way.

That scarcity mindset and fear mentality is what leads us to feeling jealous of others successes and often times leads to throwing shade their way.

When we’re living in this environment, our brain doesn’t know the difference between what we want and what we currently feel.

That said, lowering your energy to that of jealousy and hate surrounding “success”, even if it’s others, tells our subconscious mind that we don’t like success and don’t believe we can achieve success in whatever area we are focused on.

If we truly were happy of others winning, we’d achieve an elevated state of consciousness and signal our brain in different ways to release chemicals in another form that leads to positive and uplifting feelings and emotions.

These higher levels of emotions tells our brain that the thought of winning or success is good and we should act in a manner to create this feeling.

When we relate success or winning with lower levels of energy, we tell our brian that winning and success is negative and therefore, our subconscious avoids the things we must do in order to create this success and win in our lives.
