Perspective & NeuroChemicals

Perspective is all it takes to see the truth in this.

Think about this statement for a minute….gratitude is the key to abundance.

If we live with the perspective of “lack”, then we will feel and believe we have lack. If we develop a perspective of gratitude, we feel gratitude.

That’s how our subconscious mind works. It doesn’t decide what’s “good” or “bad”, or what we like and don’t like.

It can’t tell the difference from perceived or reality and with that, it triggers the release of chemicals in our body according to the thought that entered the mind.

These chemicals are addicting and are what lead to our actions.

Those actions bring on an experience, and that experience creates a story and emotion embedded into our brains that triggers the chemical cycle all over again with that action every time.

So if we think in lack and then take actions throughout the day that don’t serve us and our goals, we create this feeling linked to this thought over and over again.

We literally live as our past self and create our past as our future.

How do you think working every day to foster a perspective of gratitude would allow you to change your life?

If you felt a higher vibration of energy, would you be more inclined to act different and make new choices?

Would this “different” version of yourself and new choices being on new feelings, ultimately bringing you closer to the reality you desire?

I have found the answer to be YES.

No matter what we believe in (religion, spirituality, energy, etc.), how can we expect that source that gave us life to give us more of what we want if we’re not grateful for what we have right now?

The key to happiness and success is to feel what that desired outcome may feel like now.

This allows us to act, think and believe in ourselves and goals, ultimately manifesting what we focus our minds in and give energy to.

New Realities Require Drastic Change

I left BMX competition, working with BMX brands and performing in BMX shows in 2016 for MORE in my life.

I also turned down some sponsorship requests from soda and energy drink brands to keep my integrity rather than a quick financial gain.

I knew if I wanted a new reality on the level I desired, I had to make drastic choices and change how I was living my life.

In doing so, 2.5 years later, I manifested a dream partnership with @justpruvit.

I am not required to do anything I don’t want to or naturally don’t already do. This partnership supports my efforts to change lives and continue pursuing BETTER by just by being me.

No stress to compete, no stress to do things I don’t fully feel like doing, and no need to try and promote a brand I don’t believe in 100% for a paycheck to make ends meet.

I see too many athletes and influencers settling with partnerships they don’t fully believe in or enjoy, just for a short-term gain.

I used to have this scarcity mentality because I was struggling and needed to put food on my table and pay bills and I feel for those athletes with limiting beliefs holding them back.

Once I changed this mindset and developed standards for my life, that’s when these radical changes occurred. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t quick, but it’s been so much fun learning and growing to the place I am now and continue to grow into. Safe to say….IT WAS WORTH IT.

I have manifested more opportunities to fulfill my purpose and my dreams, changed more lives, built a team helping support my purpose that I actually pay more than what I take home myself or have ever made personally (real entrepreneur status @kerwinrae), and continue to learn from amazing people within @justPruvit like @brianundy @ryanplowery and @theMusclePHD.

So much love to my amazing team @jciake and @CreatedBybrian, the @justPruvit team, those that have supported me every step of the way, and to those who have ever told me “no”, hated on me behind my back, or straight out dismissed me.

Because of all of you, I am living my life exactly how I want, will continue to do so, and continue to change more lives.

Make Em & Take Em

#MakeEmTakeEm refers to 2 aspects in my mind:

1) Ketosis

2) Manifestation

1) The ability to create endogenous ketones and supplement with @justpruvit pure therapeutic ketones is important for maximum optimization of our efforts living a ketogenic lifestyle. (Listen to learn why in regards to the adaptation process).

2) The ability to make a choice and take action every day that’s going to serve your desires is key to manifesting our goals and dreams.

I explain the context behind each area from my perspective.

Prüvit EVERYDAY!

Who’s walking their talk and Prüving it every SINGLE day?! Words don’t mean shit if you’re actions aren’t align, otherwise you’re speaking in theory.

Part of manifesting our desires is taking action, not just speaking or visualizing our desires.

If you’re not uncomfortable every day, you’re not doing what you need to do to create a new reality for yourself.

That’s not to say you have to dislike your life and not enjoy the process. It just means in order to grow, you need to be challenged.

In order to manifest the life we don’t currently live how we envision, we gotta grow and pursue MORE.

Otherwise, we’d be content where we are now and not have any desires.

Are you walking your talk?

My 3 Core Life Principals

I live my life by these 3 principals:

1) perspective is essential to life

2) health is internal

3) our reality is a manifestation of our choices

After losing my brother, Danny, over a year ago to suicide, I have faced these principals in depth for how i choice to move forward with my life even tho I felt like quitting.

I can’t quit or I’d be letting my brother down and my biggest fear in life is letting down those I care about.

I’m fueled by doing right by Danny and Mirra and it’s part of what drives my efforts on the daily.

Everything you want is on the other side of fear.

One of the top questions I get is how do I overcome fear and what’s the secret?

Secret? Non!

It’s a choice I make and we all can make when presented with fear.

Start with this set of questions:

1) is this fear I’m perceiving real?

2) is this fear what I desire?

3) is this fear what I want?

If you say “no” to any of these 3 questions, then you have to make the choice to let that fear fuel you to push through to pursuing the action that sparks fear.

Everything we desire is on the other side of fear when we sit and look at what that statement represents.

If it were easy and or not scary, we’d already be doing the things we want and have the life we desire.

“Easy” and “scary” are just words and perspectives. When we shift our perspectives, we are more likely to take new action in life that leads us closer to our desires.

Desire>Goal>Action=Set In Motion

In honor of the #KetoExerciseChallenge hosted by KetoCoach and GoodyBeats on Instagram, I thought this quote was pretty fitting.

To me, exercise isn’t anything specific or intensive. It’s moving the body every day in a way that’s sustainable.

That said, it’s always context-driven to the individual.

Personally, even tho I don’t compete, I still ride BMX at an elite level and in doing so want my training to protect me from potential injuries.

Therefore, my training is programmed and involves the gym.

The purpose of this challenge is to get you moving your body for 20 minutes a day in whatever setting you feel is best. That could mean the gym or it could mean riding a bike, jogging, hiking, climbing, a sport, yoga, Pilates, etc.

Bottom line, move your body in a way that serves your goals. If your goals require more conscious programming and training, then you may find yourself in the gym more than 20 minutes a day. If your goal is to move regularly and in a fun manner, the latter examples may be a suitable choice per your goal.

There no right or wrong when we’re talking Action that truly aligns with our goals.

It all comes down to perspective!

Extraordinary or Ordinary?

“I’d risk the fall to know what it feels like to fly” @davemirra.

Are you willing to risk failure to have a shot at experiencing success? Yes or YES?

In order to live an extraordinary life, we gotta risk being an extraordinary person taking extraordinary actions.

It’s easy to see risk in BMX bike riding and business, but what about other areas of life?

It’s not always s easy to spot unless you’re really aware of what some risk looks like to each one of us individually.

Some are afraid of public speaking so to see someone like this post a video of them talking about something they’re passionate about, that’s an example of them being extraordinary.

By doing so, they’re getting closer to their goal of inspiring change and setting an example for others to follow that could spark a movement.

Are you being extraordinary or living an “ordinary” life dictated by fear?

It Was Worth It

The life I live today is AMAZING.

It’s for sure not “easy” although I love every aspect of it, therefore eliminating the debate over “easy” and “hard”. It’s just what I want to do with my life.

Along the way, there have been many obstacles that have helped get me to where I am today: 3 brain tumor diagnosis, torn ACL, countless concussions, living off my younger brother couch and out of my car when I was broke, depression, being physically and verbally abused as a child by a step father, being dropped from my bike sponsor mid recovery from surgery, and losing friends and family close to me to suicide.

Non the less, every obstacle, set back, and level of pain has taught me a valuable lesson and that is that shit could always be worse.

Through it all, I’ve been tempted over and over again with opportunity to make life “easier” as the cost of my integrity.

Whether it was taking a pay check to represent a brand that went so against what I stand for or even giving up on all the things I’m actively pursuing, including my own life.

The desire for the life I envision has been so strong it’s brought me out of very dark hole I’ve been in and kept me from taking the “easy route” when presented.

By doing so, it’s allowed me to continue down the path of living the life I desire and to choose to become who I want to be.

I’m grateful for my dedication to my core values and for all the love and support you all continue to show me as I navigate this life journey and sharing with all of you.

Dial In How To Walk Before You Run

I get asked how one progresses with BMX and I get asked this question a ton.

It’s no different than any other aspect or skill in life.

We gotta learn to walk before we can run. In the world of BMX, we gotta learn to ride before we can stunt. Haha.

The messaging behind @justpruvit and I both encourage becoming better every single day. No matter what you do that day or don’t do, as long as you strive to be better, then that’s all that matters.

It’s easy to get caught up in all that we haven’t done yet, skills that aren’t “good enough”, where our business is or isn’t, and how much MORE and BETTER we could be doing.

The issues I commonly see and experience are the following.

1) getting caught up on the “destination” or the goal rather than falling in love with the process or journey.

2) comparing ourselves to others in general, but also with not knowing the whole story or all the context that went into that persons success that we’re comparing ourselves to.

3) not holding ourselves and our actions accountable to the reality we’re living in. Fixing our power away by making up excuses to why we can’t or aren’t succeeding with a desire in our life.

What BMX as taught me is to become relentless with persistence, habits, work, mindset built of belief, not caring what others think of myself, and to not give up when times get tough.

Are you trying to run before you dial in walking, with any aspect of a goal(s) you may have developed?
