Even before I was a teenager, I wanted to be a pro BMX athlete. At the age of 13 I got my first true BMX bike and when I was 17, I made that dream come true. It took avision, tenacity, perseverance, the belief it was possible, and non-stop action.
Along the way, I faced many challenges as in multiple brain tumors, blowing out my knee, living out of my car and on my younger brothers couch (humbling), and so much more to continue to live my dream.
What I learned along the way, other than the fact that health is internal and all about the mind & body connection, is that our reality is just a manifestation of our beliefs and choices.
That said, if there’s a willingness to accomplish a goal then there’s always a way to make it happen. There will be doubters, of course, but it’s YOUR choice to give in to their suggestions or not.
What I’ve learned in my BMX career has taught me invaluable lessons that I’m now integrating into my health coaching business and public speaking, and I’m forever grateful for all I’ve experienced from BMX.💚✌️
