(Day 5) 21-Day Meditation / New Habit Creation Challenge. Today was a great reminder that we are all perfect where we are right now and there is no certain way we “must” be.
My good friend @david_goodall loves to say “we are all perfect where we are right now in this time and space” and it’s so true. Although it’s ok to strive for more greatness in our lives, we must first find gratitude and acceptance for who we are right now.
Before I meditate I read my health coaching mission statement, my mantras, my clearing statements and my “what would it take” to visualize the life I desire and work for and the coach/person/partner/friend/brother/son I strive to be. –
So often do we get lost in doing things and becoming something we feel we “have” to in order to please others, society, and our egos in fear of “failure” or letting others down. Most of the time I find it is out of fear, usually for things that haven’t happened yet or that come with now validity to that thought.
What meditation has been teaching me more of is that there is no right or wrong way to be other than how YOU feel. It’s also teaching me to build a practice of patience by creating opportunity to be patient rather than becoming patient. We are all already patient but have to give ourselves the chance to slow down and see it. 💚✌️
