How do you alleviate stress in your life?
Stress is a major factor in why we as a society are sick, fat, and tired.
Whether it be perceived (mental) or physical stressors (toxins, certain foods, exercise, injuries, etc.), the mind and body are so closely intertwined that either form of stress creates a physiological response in the body as seen here in the diagram thanks to Dr. Ryan Lowery
When I began this journey of holistic health, it was based on fear of the brain tumor coming back. The irony of that is that 4 more grew back over the following 7 years after brain surgery.
My journey led me to nutrition first, which I believed was the single most important choice we have on a daily basis.
Then a torn ACL injury & surgery led me to the importance of fitness for the brain and body.
Along the way, I was learning more about keto as well as the power of our mindsets and subconsciously picking up on new ways of thinking.
Today, I believe the mind(set) is actually the single most important choice we have on a daily basis, closely followed up by nutrition and fitness. The mind(set) came last for me and I believe it was for a few reasons:
1- to show me my strength through the physical challenges.
2- those challenges gave me clarity on perspective & purpose.
3- I was building my mind(set) strength the whole time and now that Iโm conscious to it, I am able to tie all 3 parts of holistic health together and share with all of you.
