Coaching Jaka Remec

So proud of my Slovenia bro JAKA REMEC for taking 1st place at Fise Worlds and Pannonian Challenge back to back weekends recently!

We’ve been working together over a year now and to see the level of progression from Jaka on and off the bike is incredible.

He’s only 14 but rides and talks much older and is a pleasure to coach and hang out with.

His father is an example of how to support your children with their dreams just as my parents did for me.

For me to be able to mentor Jaka and share my experiences, perspectives, and knowledge with Jaka and his family is beyond a dream come true.

There’s no blueprint for BMX and the schools don’t yet credit or support BMX athletes. To be able to fill that void with my career experience and mindset/nutritional education means the world to me to be able to pass down to Jaka.

Can’t wait to see Jaka soon and train together again! Looking forward to what the futures holds for this talented athlete.

What You Didn’t Know About Me

Something only few truly know about me.

https://www.instagram.com/p/By0sgsZnWpO/?igshid=yobjxyxrbp3p

The last few years have been challenging to me mentally and physically as I took a another life altering risk to create the life I desire.

I decided to leave my “first love”, as @jciake refers to it (BMX) as, behind in all aspects as I chased a new dream to serve and support through my journey, education, and perspectives.

I didn’t have a plan, just a vision I have dedicated my life too.

A ton of adversity presented itself as soon as I made the choice to design a new path in my life.

Some say I’m “lucky” to live the life I do but I don’t believe in luck, just choices.

I come from no money, no upper hand, a ton of adversity against me, and no handouts. I have contributed to make the same choice, challenge the status quo and being told “no”. I’ve just implemented dedication, grit, perspective, mental and physical strength, and a perspective to never see “failure” as failure but opportunities to learn and grow.

Some may have said “no” to me, mocked me, or straight up doubted me in any fashion.

I thank all of you for your love and support, your hate, your faith, you doubt, and anything in between.

The feeling I get from going on stage, others sharing their gratitude for my sharing, and others opening themselves to me (a complete stranger) after I open myself up free of judgement and only love.

I’m grateful for the choices I’ve made and the life I live.

I do all I do to share the possibilities that we all live with and can take advantage of as soon as we decide to allow ourselves to live the life we desire and believe we deserve.

If I can, we all can and I won’t stop sharing that perspective.

Choose the belief in yourself and the life you desire.

Risk For Purpose

Crazy ride @david_goodall and I have been on the last 3 years as we both took a massive risk leaving our comfort zone and source of income to fulfill a new dream fueled by purpose to serve others.

The potential I find we were missing out on based on limiting beliefs is crazy to reflect on as we now manifest new dreams, and some, now that we have focused on our purpose, the life WE want and believe WE deserve, and continue to take non stop action even when times get tough.

It’s only a dream until it’s accomplished and if anyone that looks like you did anything you want, you have a blueprint. Take action, don’t give up, and be very very clear on what you want to accept in your life.

Homework

I always have fear.

The difference is, I do the work (mentally & physically) to choose how fear contributes to my life.

Fear doesn’t own me, it’s just a thought. I use fear to guide me towards the things I must do in order to fulfill my purpose. I choose the thoughts by doing the mental work EVERY single day.

It starts with my “morning manifesto” and continues with the choices in who I surround myself with and the content I choose to consume.

I’m scared shitless every time I get on a stage, no matter the size.

But, I know it’s my calling and it’s necessary to succeed at fulfilling my purpose that I’ve devoted my life to.

Preparation is a form of being proactive and in this lists context, it’s being proactive of the fear of public speaking.

Few reasons as to why the fear is there, which is my ego trying to protect me from the unknown, is the fear of rejection & unworthiness.

I know it’s not true and even tho I may be shaking and my heart racing, I repeat my mantras to myself and focus on the vision. Just the same way I would when competition or doing a new trick for the first time.

I Flew To Australia To Tell My Mentor I Took His Advice

2 years ago, as I walked out of a Santa Monica hotel wrapping up one of the first “Unstoppable” podcast episodes with Kerwin, he told me to somehow and in someway manifest a full-time videographer to document my life and share valuable content with all of you.

This video was the moment I got to share with Kerwin that I made that happen and am going to continue investing into my purpose and business.

It’s an incredible feeling making money by doing what I love, even after BMX, and to be able to take care of my friends and family at the same time.

The only thing stopping us from reaching out full potential in life and any goal we may have is what’s inside our mind.

I am living proof that we can acquire the things we desire in life when that desire is strong, consistent, and we believe in that desire while working our asses off.

Persistence is How I Made It Here

Persistence to land a trick has taught me many invaluable lessons in life.

To accept this kind of pain just to land a trick on your bike changes you mentally and subconsciously in such profound ways.

I wasn’t aware of it in the beginning but in my last few years competing and progressing, I started to become conscious to what was going on.

Now I harness it all for my purpose to serve and support those around me and willing to hear what I have to say.

Manifestation > ______

This photo is a manifestation of non-stop action, a belief, clear purpose, authenticity, and open mindedness.

Manifestation – noun: an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.

I couldn’t express what this moment means to me as @createdbybrian and I embark on a brand new journey filled with excitement, fear, adventure, gratitude, and much more.

Brian and I met 2 years ago as I aimlessly walked into the gym he was working at seeking a coach to help me properly train for BMX.

Later down the road we began to connect more and more via speaking about Gary V, content creation, purpose, and collaboration of exchanging value.

Sometime after that, I recorded a podcast with @kerwinrae. As I began walking out the door, Kerwin stopped me and said “Josh, somehow and in someway, you have to manifest someone to document your life and help create content”.

I am proud to say that a new partnership (more coming soon) has allowed me to manifest just what Kerwin advised me on and I couldn’t be more stoked to say that Brian is now officially apart of my team.

Brian is beyond talented, he’s authentic, passionate, supportive and encouraging, and he has overcome a ton of adversity in his life to design his life the way he envisions.

This photo means the world to me because I couldn’t be more proud of both of our hard work and dedication to make this a reality.

We’ve both been busting our asses for years and are ready to hustle and grind even harder as we enjoy the journey with nothing but gratitude, clear purpose, and a strong work ethic.

Thank you @brianundy and @ryanplowery for your belief in us.

What are you manifesting in your life?

Falling Down

We all fall down in life. Figuratively and literally.

BMX has taught me to always get up and try again.

This becomes subconscious when the DESIRE to succeed is so strong that you don’t see “failure” as an opportunity to quit, rather it becomes an opportunity to learn and grow.

Hitting the ground like this hurts but the feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction for accomplishing the goal you set out for is a like no other.

The cool part about non physical times we “fall down” is that they don’t physically harm us.

I’ve proven to myself every day I’m strong enough to pick myself up and keep at it for the life I envision, no matter how much it hurts.

Are you proving yourself?

Identity

I feared “losing” my identity by choosing to retire from BMX competition for a new passion that consumed me.

I still made the decision to do so and battled for a while until about 6 months ago when I accepted my truth and that who I chose to be every day in that single moment was my identity.

Not my past!

Our past doesn’t define us, it molds us.

It teaches us and helps us get to where we are today.

It gives up experience and perspective.

Today, I’ve dedicated my life to serving others.

My identity is love, purpose, and serving.

What’s your mindset?
